Dogwood Awards
Norfolk County Dogwood Awards
Norfolk County Heritage & Culture is now accepting nominations for the 2022 Dogwood Awards.
Established in 2007 and named after Norfolk County’s official flower, the awards spotlight individuals, and groups for outstanding work in subjects such as history, visual arts, music, and media.
“The Dogwood Awards offer the opportunity to recognize the wonderful work done locally, work that enriches Norfolk County,” said Melissa Collver, director of Heritage & Culture. “Culture and heritage reflect a shared bond and belonging in a community, and it’s important to recognize those who contribute to it.”
Norfolk County staff have added a new category to the proceedings entitled “Heritage Property Stewardship” for landowners/caretakers that have demonstrated excellence in long-time heritage stewardship and/or exceptional rehabilitation of properties designated under the Ontario Heritage Act.
Other categories include the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Youth Award for those under 18.
